AVOID THIS PETROL STATION AT ALL COSTS!! MONEY MAKING SCHEME FROM EURO CAR PARK FINES!!!!
On 25/11/2022 - at the St John’s Wood BP petrol station in London. I entered the petrol station forecourt on a dark winters evening at 17:34 where it will be near impossible to see small signs with parking limits which do not have lights above them.
The reason why I entered the petrol station was because my tyre pressure warning lights (TPMS) had turned on inside my vehicle. To be on the safe side I entered the petrol station to check I didn’t puncher my tyres and if not punctured then to put air into my tyres and be on my way. Upon entering there was another vehicle that was already on the tyre inflator machine who walking around his vehicle and putting air in all 4 of there tyres (normal thing to do in the winter). I had to wait around 15mins for my turn and paid a pound into the inflator machine in cash. The petrol station itself was very old and the machine was very old and slow. Also not knowing there was time limit I too put air into all 4 of my tyres and left the petrol after my (TPMS) warning lights had turned off.
I entered the the forecourt at 17:34 and was out of there by 18:00. I spent a total of 15mins waiting for the person in front to finish and another 11mins inflate my own. I have received a £60 fine which now going to be £100 because this my 2nd appeal and gone over the 14days discounted price all because I was entered a petrol to do the correct thing and inflate my tyres and not cause harm to myself and most importantly to others on the road.
I have asked euro car parks to check the petrol station CCTV for proof of why I over stayed which they responded to was - “We are in receipt of your communication that you were using the facilities on site on the day in question. However, no supporting documentation has been provided” . How do you send supporting documentation for using a tyre inflate a machine? That beats me!
