It took me 6 hours on the phone to find a surgeon who was in my Medicare Advantage network but I hit the jackpot when I called Dr. Cryar's office. From the first appoint through the hernia surgery to post surgery exercises, he provided detailed explanations and reassurance. His surgery center was fantastic; the team members each meeting me and confirming what would be happening. I felt confident that I was in good hands and my quick recovery proved me right. Like other reviewers, I wish I could give Dr Cryar and his team ten stars or many, many more! From my very first call to make an appointment to surgery and after care, his office team made everything easy. They are easy to get in touch with (amazing!!), super friendly, caring, and know their jobs. Dr Cryar got me through a very difficult surgery with the best bedside manner I've ever seen. He sits to talk with you, making you feel like he's not in a rush to move on to the next patient. He's got a great sense of humor, which I like, but he's not afraid to tell you like it is. After surgery I wasn't doing the work I needed to do to get better. He came into my hospital room, sat down and made it very clear what I needed to do. I got busy and I got better! Very thankful for him and his team!!

Dr Cryar was amazing. I was in a bad car accident 4 years ago and it developed a very rare hernia. After much research & my primaries advice - I HAD to Have surgery. Dr Cryar was so carding & was very informative to everything he was going to do.
After the surgery, I don’t remember much as I was a little out of it, but my husband said that Doc was so thoughtful and took time to explain how I should recover at home.
Next visit for a checkup, doc then explainEd to me everything he had to do with my hernia. Also went the extra mile to remove scar tissue that he knew would be a problem in the coming years. He said I love what I do, but if I can avoid doing another surgery on you - I prefer that. I would definitely recommend! My incision is so small (as he had to cut me open 5 inches across the belly. He was thoughtful to explain how to minimize the scar. I can say this thin incision will fade away. AMAZING

Dr. Cryer was my daughter's surgeon for a gall bladder removal. He is caring, responsive, down to earth, informative, and quite funny. He is not quick to push for surgery, he is supportive and easy to talk to. He put both myself and my daughter at ease. He came and saw her repeatedly before and after her surgery. He was on time, concise, and courteous. I would recommend him without hesitation for his expertise and bedside manner.

I had a recent hernia surgery. Wish I could give Dr. Cryar and his staff ten stars. From his great in office staff, the janitor who greeted me that morning, the male Receptionist at front desk, the wonderful nurses and and the Anesthesiologist. The care and making sure everything was okay to the precise attention they gave me. This was without a doubt the best medical staff I've ever been with. Dr Cryar many thanks .Thank-you all

Dr. Cryar is amazing. I had my first appointment with him this morning. He made me feel very comfortable and his bedside manner is phenomenal. He answered all of my questions and did a great job putting my mind as ease. Highly recommend!

If I could give a negative I would. Beacuse of his carelessness he left me without absorbing any calcium. Because of him at age 19 I became legally blind,by age 20 I jad cataract surgery. Because of him ive had seizures and multiple hospital stays and on numerous calcium pills for the rest of my life. His carelessnes while removing my thyroid without any mention of parathyroid glands did all of this to me. This has been 20yrs ago and I am still dealing with his neglectfulness to me. Stay away

I would highly recommend Dr.Cryer as a surgeon he performed a hernia repair and gallbladder removal on me last month the whole experience was the best I could ask for and I would definitely go back to him in the future if need be.
